Very sad news. ' South Wingfield Bowls Club are sad to announce the death of Alan Walker. He passed away unexpectedly today while working on the green. He had been associated with the club for over 35 years as a top player and an excellent groundskeeper and the green at South Wingfield was admired by both home players and visitors alike. He was totally committed to the club and gave his time and advice willingly to all. He will be greatly missed by the club and all who knew him. Details of funeral arrangements will be announced when available'.

Tue 15th AprAlvaston & Boulton have dropped their team out of Wednesday Doubles Division 2 and all their fixtures are now a 'bye'.
Tue 15th AprEARLY START TIME REMINDER - Alvaston & Boulton in Division 3 in the Saturday League will start their home games at 1:00 pm ( 12:45 roll up for the away team). All their away games will start at the normal 1:30pm. Previously, Littleover 'C' in Division 1 were early starts but this not the case anymore and will all be 1:30 starts.
Mon 7th AprIMPORTANT NEWS RE PARKING AT BELPER MEADOWS - Parking fees are being introduced by the trustees of the Belper Meadows Community Sports Club from 1st May. However, there will be NO CHARGE for visiting teams but you MUST REGISTER your vehicle on arrival. You will have to enter your vehicle details on a tablet that will be positioned in the Sports Club entrance lobby on the left hand wall between the front door and the toilets and you will have to do this every time you are on site. As the tablet is located inside the Club House it is suggested that you arrive no more than 40 minutes before the scheduled start time of your match as access cannot be guaranteed to the Club House before that time.
