One of the British Oak Bowling Clubs long standing members Mick Perry passed away on Friday 30th May 2025 after a short illness.

Because of his long association with the game of bowls Mick will be remembered by many people and will be sadly missed by all his friends and colleagues at the British Oak. Our thoughts and prayers are with Maggie, Sean and all the family at this sad time RIP Mick

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that John Beechey passed away Sunday 11th May peacefully with family by his side. His son Paul would like to thank everyone for messages already received.

John was a loving dad, grandad, great grandad and brother and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends at KGV Bowling Club.

The family are organising a wake for John at Triplex Sports Association on 27th June 7pm onwards and all will be welcome.

King George VI B have had to pull out the League this season. This leaves Division 3 with 11 teams. Where your Club were due to play King George VI B you will now have a bye. ie King George VI A were due to play 1st 2 fixtures against King George VI B so now will have 2 bye matches. So all Clubs in division 3 re-check the fixtures.

Sat 1st Mar

Yardley Wood Social have had to pull out the League this season. This leaves Division 1 with 9 teams. Where your Club were due to play Yardley Wood Social you will now have a bye. ie Wooton hall were due to play 1st 2 fixtures against Yardley Wood social so now will have 2 bye matches. So all Clubs in division 1 re-check the fixtures.

Rule 8 & 18 have now been updated in the Rules as per agreement of change of rule at the AGM

Warstock will be playing there home games at Yardley Wood social same as last season

West Midlands Travel are back in the League. They will be playing there home games from the Irish Centre which was West Midlands Travel. There is no onsite parking, So please be aware when parking as not to upset residents opposite the Irish Centre. Suggestion is travel in least vehicles as possible.
