Important AGM Update -

Information regarding the forthcoming AGM has now been emailed to all Club Secretaries. If you haven't received the email please let me know as soon as possible. Please ensure you bring this information with you to the meeting.

A new Treasurer is still required for the association as the Wallasey Association will not be able to operate without one. (For the avoidance of doubt, I will not act as a Treasurer in addition to my duties as Secretary though I will help any new incoming Treasurer as much as I can).

AGM Update

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 29th November 2023 at Manor Road BC commencing at 7:30pm. There have been no notices of motion received  from any  club. Hopefuly the agenda etc for this meeting will be issued to club secretaries, via email, shortly.

A few clubs have asked about the plan for reorganising the divisional structure. Basically it is planned to return to the same season format as that used in 2019 -  (pre-  pandemic) season with 3 divisions, Pairs at the start and end of the season, all the various Cup competitions (Presidents cup, Harold Jones cup, Sheppick cup, Association Cup and Wallasey News Cup) additionally we want to ensure the individual competitions  are run in the same way as in 2023.  The final version of this plan is still to be discussed at the next Wallasy committee meeting on the 15th November.

Wallasey Treasurer - To date (8/11/23)  there has been no expressions of interest in taking this important role. Please do not assume that "someone" will do it. If you feel you could assist please put your name forward. (Email to wallaseybowls@outlook.com). For information the current Wallasey Secretary does NOT want to do the treasurers job and without someone in position the Wallasey Association will be unable to function.

Wallasey Committee - There has been a number of expressions of interest in joining the Wallasey Committee and this will be dealt with at the AGM as necessary

We have also received some interest from a number of new teams about joining the Association for Season 2024. The Wallasey Committee is currently considering reorganising the the divisional format of the Association along with reinstating both the Pairs league  & the Presidents  Cup  competitions which were not played in 2023. The necessary paperwork will be emailed to Club Secretaries in due course. It is not our intention to provide paper copies of this paperwork.

The Wallasey Association is still looking  for someone interested in becomming  the Association Treasurer. Prospective candidates should email their written expression of interest to (to .  Without a Treasurer in place it will be very difficult for the Association to continue to function.

Please communicate this opportunity to all of your club members. Prospective candidates should email their written expression of interest to wallaseybowls@outlook.com.

There are also a number of vacancies on the executive committee. We would especially welcome interest from those clubs with teams in division 2. However, this should not stop anyone from Division 1 applying. If anyone is interested  please contact  wallaseybowls@outlook.com
