Diane Piercy
It is with sadness that I must advise that I have been informed of the death of Diane Piercy a long time player of Poulton BC. Diane was also a member of Somerville Ladies team and will be sadly missed. Diane's funeral will take place on Thursday 6th March in St Hilary's Church, Wallasey commencing at 12 Noon followed by Landican (South Chapel) at 1:30pm then New Brighton Cricket Club later. Family flowers only but donations if desired to MacMillan Nurses.
League Fixture Night
As previously advised at the AGM in November clubs were requested to let me know which night they would prefer their league fixtures to be on. I have received 7 responses 4 for Tuesday (as 2024) and 3 for Thursday. The remaining clubs have not responded either way. Consequently the fixture layout will remain as in 2024 namely league fixtures on a Tuesday with Individual competitions and Team Cups on a Thursday.
Peter Wilson
It is with great sadness that I must advise that I have been informed of the death of Magazines player Peter Wilson. Condolences to all of Peter's family and friends.
Peter’s funeral will be on 17th February at St Mary’s Church in Withens Lane, Wallasey, starting at 2.00pm. South Chapel at Landican at 3.30pm. Reception at New Brighton Cricket Club from 3.00pm.
No flowers, if you would like to make a donation to the British Heart Foundation, please use the following link.
Many thanks.

Peter Dodd Wallasey Federation Trophy
As most of you may already be aware, Paul Saville made an announcement at the recent AGM about one of the association’s missing trophies, which needs to be replaced. The trophy in question was renamed last season as ‘The Peter Dodd Wallasey Federation Merit’.
Paul and some other association members, with the blessing of the Wallasey Committee, are raising funds to buy a new trophy worthy of the dedicated service Peter gave the association over many years.
We are asking all clubs if they would be willing to make a donation (however big or small) towards the purchase of this new trophy.
With the donations we have already received and those we have been promised we are already nearing the £100 mark. Just a small donation will enable us to achieve our goal!
We would appreciate it if donations could be made by 31st January 2025 (preferably by bank transfer).
Please contact the Association Treasusrer (details above) if you would like to donate. All club Secretaries should also have the relevant information for donations.
Thanks in anticipation
Peter Rattray
It is with sadness that I must advise that I have been informed of the death of Peter Rattray on 8th January 2025. Peter has previously played for Sacred Heart BC & Upton Victory Hall BC. Peter's funeral will take place at Landican on Friday 31st January at 3pm (Centre Chapel).
League Fixture Night - Tuesday or Thursday?
As previously advised at the AGM in November I requested clubs to let me know which night they would prefer their league fixtures to be on. I have received 6 responses so far 3 for Tuesday (as 2024) and 3 for Thursday. In the absence of any further responses it is currently my intention that the fixture layout will remain as in 2024 namely league fixtures on a Tuesday. A final decesion about this will be made within the next couple of weeks to allow for any late responses.
