Ray Hanson Doubles

Will be held on Belvedere on Sunday 17th August 10 am for 10.30 Enter on the day and MUST be from the same club. £10 per pair entry

Information from Stapenhill Bowls Club

There is no parking in car park at Stapenhill bowls club. The pub is no longer open and the land has been sold. The new land owner is not permitting any use of the car park. On street parking in the local area is currently the only option.

Sad News

Chaddesden Park Bowls Club are sad to announce the death of Dave Hill, a member for over 38 years and well known to many in the league. His funeral will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium on Wednesday 3rd September at 11.30am and then going on to Chaddesden Jubilee Club from 12.30pm.

Dickie Cup Final

Congratulations go to Stretton Anglesey who overcame Winshill in the final held at Rykneld BC on 31 July. The individual match results can be viewed in the "Competitions Results" folder.

Sad News

Rykneld Bowling Club are sad to announce the death of John Lewis, former President, Secretary and life member. His funeral is to be held at Trent Valley Crematorium on Wednesday 13 August 2025 at 12.30pm.

Belper Meadows Parking Regulations

The new arrangements will go live on Friday 1 August 2025. All visitors and guests of the bowls club will need to register their vehicle licence numbers or be liable to receive a fine. The registration tablet may be found in the front entrance hall to the building and its use is self-explanatory.

A reminder that this competition is to be held on Sunday 17 August on Belvedere Number 1 green. More detailed information will follow.

DERBYSHIRE MERIT FINAL

Dan "the Petch" Petcher does it again!!! 

Dan won the South Derbyshire Merit in a final against Dan Hartley, and has now won the Derbyshire Merit in a final against Adam Hartley!

Commiserations to Adam and a brilliant well done to Dan

The South Derbyshire Merit Final was played at Horsley on Thursday night and, after a cracking final between the two Dans, the winner was Dan Petcher.

With 8 finalists, and only 7 going forward to the Derbyshire Merit, the losers played off against each other. So the 7 going forward are:

Parking at Mayfield Bowls Club

From 19 May the parking will be limited on Monday nights due to local football teams games. Teams are advised to arrive early to ensure a parking space

Access to Aston and Weston BC

Roadworks in Aston on Trent could have an impact on access to the green for most of the season. The road from Weston on Trent has reopened but there remain some roadworks within Aston on Trent which are controlled by a four-way traffic light system.

Derbyshire Open Competitions

Details of the Junior Merit, 18-25 Merit, Vets Merit and Centenary Mixed Doubles competitions can be found on the posters contained in the "BCGBA and DCGBA competitions" folder.

Rolleston floodlights

There are issues with the floodlights at Rolleston and it is not known when they will be resolved. Matches held at Rolleston on Monday and Friday evenings until the end of May and from 18 July will start at 6.30 pm unless the problem is resolved beforehand.

The Individual Merit qualifier is on 1 May with the final scheduled for 15 May.

The Charity Cup will be played on 5 May.

The Darren Smith Trophy will be played on 26 May.

The Ray Hanson Doubles is set for 17 August.

The Champion of Champions is set for 28 September.
