Dear All

 

Are you looking for a fun, social indoor sport to enjoy during the winter months? The West Midlands Short Mat Super League offers a fantastic opportunity for both seasoned players and newcomers to get involved in a friendly and competitive environment!

About Short Mat Bowls:
A versatile indoor sport similar to lawn bowls, played on a 45-foot carpet. The game involves strategic play aiming to get your bowls closer to the jack than your opponents. Played in pairs or triples, it’s a tactical game suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Affordable Equipment Options

Please note that the Semi Finals of the Thursday A and B cups are not on a fixed date but need to be arranged with your opponents before 14th August. Please don't leave it until the last minute to make contact with your opponents. It the responsibility of both clubs to make contact.
 
The Semi Finalists are as follows and matches are on a 4 home 4 away basis.

Under 18 Single Merits Competition

 

The competition will be held on Sunday July 27th at Hall Green at 2.00pm.

 
So this year we have decided to hold an Under 18's Singles Merit Competition which will be open to all players Under 18 on the date of the event. All participants must be registered with the Heart of England Friendly League for their club.  Entry will be free, so please if any members of your club would like to enter the competition email Merit Secretary Jonathan Griffin at dickymintsenior@googlemail.com or text him on 07971717490, please do not phone !
 
Small cash prizes along with an award for the winner will be given out on the day so please encourage your members to enter if possible

Mick Perry's funeral will take please at Lodge Hill on Friday 11 July at 12.15 pm followed by a celebration of his life at Bournville Social Club 
Mick always respected why people wear black to funerals but for his own the family feel he would prefer people wear whatever they're most comfortable wearing for  the occasion-RIP Mick

The draw for the next round of the Over 60's Cups on 23rd May is available on the Competition Results tab. Please check both the A and B cups to see if your green is being used even if you are not in the cup and ensure your facilities are made available.

Please remember as per cup rule (7) All teams entering cup competitions may promote players but may not demote  players.

Due to the ongoing renovations of their greens the folowing;

Over 60's A Team will play on the Near Green, 

               B Team will play on the Far Green

               C Team will play on the Far Green
