Sorry change of date for Ladies AGM its now TUESDAY 10TH FEBRUARY 2026 as per attached agenda
 
Happy New Year
 
There has not been any response from new clubs to join the ladies league following my email saying we could possibly reduce teams to 6.
 
We will therefore need to discuss this at the AGM to decide how we are going to move forward and what format we want for the league programme in 2026.
 
From the emails received from you all it is evident that you want it to continue as an all female league but maybe we can think of some other alternatives to make it a bit different than all other leagues. Someone suggested maybe playing some of the games as doubles as well as singles. Lets have a good discussion at the AGM to try and keep the League going.
 
I attach a copy of the Dec 25 accounts, minutes from last years AGM and 2026 AGM Agenda.

      PLEASE NOTE RULE 18 HAS BEEN UPDATED - CHANGES SHOWN IN RED 

 

       Each team within the South Birmingham Ladies Bowling League is only permitted to postpone a

       maximum of three games each season to a later date. This excludes games that have to be rearranged due

       to bad weather conditions.  If a club cannot meet a fixture, 4 days notice must be given in writing

      (email, text or post) to the opposing team captain or secretary. The postponing team must also notify the

       Results Secretary. Teams may, however, bring matches forward by mutual agreement. Whenever

       possible, home teams should give three dates on which their green is available. Within fourteen days of

       cancellation, a new date should be agreed by both teams and notified to the Results Secretary by the

       original postponing team.  Failure to agree a date within 14 days, or failure to notify the

       Results Secretary of either the postponement or the rearranged date, will incur a £5 fine for the

       offending team. None of the above applies to matches which have to be rearranged due to

       fixture clashes when League fixtures are published.
