Hamiltons Bowls Club - Change of Venue for Home Matches

Due to heightened Health and Safety concerns around use of the temporary path to the bowling green by away players and supporters, it's been decided to stop all Home league matches from being played at the Danescourt site until the new permanent, and lit, pedestrian footpath is put in. This might not be until the end of the league season because it depends on the timing of other construction work.

Hamiltons have been in discussions with Springvale about playing all Home matches there from the 19th May until the end of the season so we can continue to fulfill all our home fixtures.

Springvale have kindly agreed to this so Team Captain's will be contacting their opposite number over the next week or so to cancel forthcoming fixtures, reverse them, or play them at Springvale on the big green, if capacity and the fixture list allows.

Paking may be restricted at Springvale due to construction work adjacent to their ground, so clubs are asked to consider car sharing where possible. On-street parking is possible in adjacent roads near to the green but visitors must be mindful of the need for resident parking in those streets and park carefully and considerately.

The construction work at the Springvale site should finish by the end of May so on-site parking capacity should increase significantly after then.

The regular season starts this week.

As previously advised, we have made a few changes to the fixtures to resolve clashes with the Dudley League.

These involve Pennfields (Starting Gate) and Penn in Premier and Pennfields A in Division 1.

PLEASE CHECK to confirm if the fixture changes affect your team.

The official fixtures are those shown on the website.

HAMILTONS BC

Please be aware that access to Hamiltons is currently restricted due to building work.

The Club advises visitors as follows:

The old car park is now a builders' compound.

Please use the Old Wulfs car park, which is immediately on your right as you enter Danescourt Road from the A41.

Then walk 100 yards or so along the A41 away from Tettenhall village.

Just before a bus stop you will find the new temporary walkway to the bowling green.

Car parking space is limited, so car sharing might be advisable.
