North Wales Veterans Inter-League Minutes of the Annual Meeting held at Ffrith Indoor Bowling Club on Wednesday January 10th at 11.00 a.m.

In the absence of the Chairman (and the representative for Clwydians) the meeting was chaired by the Secretary/Treasurer at the outset and proceeded as smoothly as possible.

Present.  L. Williams (Secretary/Treasurer), Colin Smith and John Cooper (Deeside), Margaret Heard and Alan Dugdale (Gwynedd) and Dewi Jones and Peter Lacey (Wrexham).

There were no apologies for absence or Chairman’s Opening remarks.

The Minutes of the previous meeting were approved - proposed by Alan Dugdale and seconded by Colin Smith.

There were no Matters Arising or Correspondence.

Finance. The Treasurer explained the circumstances of the finances, went through the simple balance sheet and showed the delegates the cash in hand which still stood at £50.10. It was agreed to continue working in cash with the Treasurer asking for contributions from each area when necessary.

The Draw for 2018 was:-  Monday June 4th 2018 – Clwyd v Gwynedd and Wrexham v Deeside.

                                           Monday July 2nd 2018 – Wrexham v Gwynedd and Clwydians v Deeside

                                           Monday August 13th – Wrexham v Clwydians and Gwynedd v Deeside

Election of Officers  In the absence of a Chairman and no-one else coming forward, L. Williams agreed to remain as Secretary/ Treasurer and the delegates decided to appoint a Chair from the floor at each meeting for the foreseeable future.

Any Other Business.  The following points were discussed.

1.       The issue of referees. After a discussion Dewi agreed to email D.T. Evans to try to get a price for a referee, if possible not to exceed £30 per game (all inclusive).

2.       It was agreed to keep the Secretary informed of venues as soon as they were announced.

3.       The Secretary will pay annually the affiliation fee requested and will wait for a bill for Insurance.

4.       Food at Games. On arrival a cup of tea/coffee and a biscuit will be offered and another hot drink with biscuits and cake at the end of the game will be available as a minimum. After a discussion, all agreed to this.

5.       The date of the next meeting was fixed for Wednesday November 21st 2018 at Ffrith Indoor Bowling Club at 11.00 a.m.

6.       There being no other business, the meeting closed at 11.55 a.m.
