ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND PRIZE PRESENTATION 2024
Dear Colleague
The Annual General Meeting and Prize presentation of both leagues will take place on Tuesday 11th February 2025 at the Willenhall Liberal Club commencing at 7.30pm. Please note all clubs must be represented at the meeting.
I have enclosed the minutes of the last AGM also included are the details of prize winners for the 2024 season.
All winners (i.e; team captains, average and merit winners) are invited to attend to collect prizes.
Can all clubs please advise me about any team resigning from the league or about putting a new team in by 31st January 2025.
The finance report will be available at the meeting.

I sadly announce that Pat Cook who formerly played for Wombourne passed away on 9th January aged 87. Although Pat didn’t play in the league in her later years due to ill health, she was a big advocate for bowling, playing for both Staffordshire County and represented England V Wales in 1998. Funeral will be Thursday 27th February at 10.20 @Gornal Crematorium and after at the WI Hall Wombourne. RIP Pat.

Sadly, I have to inform you of the passing of DEREK WILCOX.
Derek was a long time member of Pennfields BC and played in many leagues.
Our condolences to his family.

It's is with regret and great sadness that I have to report the sudden passing of Dave Coppock Willenhall Trinity . Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife family and team mates at this very sad time.

We have been informed that the ECC Club has closed with immediate effect.
The Bowling Club will be allowed to continue and honour its fixtures until the end of this season.
The green will be regularly maintained and toilet facilities will be provided.
We ask you to help and support ECC during these difficult times.
They intend to complete all there fixtures.

It is with great sadness that i have to report the passing of Mac Pearson,a very true friend.
Mac as done a lot for the sport of Crown Green Bowling throughout the years.
Mac you will be greatly missed, and our thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.

Fri 16th FebIt is with great regret that I report the death of Mac Taylor who passed away at home yesterday (25th) after a short illness. Mac had a long career in bowls and was well known in the game, having played for several local clubs over the years. Our sympathies go out to his family

It is with great sadness I have to inform you that Jim Price who played at Express & Star passed away on 2nd December. Our sympathies go out to Jim's family and funeral arrangements will follow.
